Breaking the "Standard Constraint": How Willey's Custom Valves Found Their Way Out

2026-01-26 10:22

In the valve industry, "standard parts" have long been unable to meet the diverse demands - the high temperature and high pressure in petrochemicals, the hydrogen embrittlement resistance required in new energy hydrogen production, and the typhoon resistance needed for offshore wind power in overseas markets all call for "tailor-made" solutions. Zhejiang Huierli Fluid Control Co., Ltd., with its seventeen years of accumulation in the field of custom valves, has emerged from Wenzhou, the hometown of pumps and valves, to become a "custom valve expert" serving global customers, providing "design-to-order" valves that are suitable for thousands of special working conditions at home and abroad.

The confidence of customization: Comprehensive support from technology to production capacity

Entering Huierli's customized R&D center, the "Material Compatibility Chart" on the wall catches the eye: from the conventional WCB carbon steel and CF8M stainless steel to the special titanium alloy and Hastelloy for specific scenarios, and even the customized rare earth enhanced alloy, over 20 types of materials can precisely match different media and environments. "Once the customer clarifies the working conditions, we can come up with a solution," said the director of customized technology, holding a drawing of an overseas order. This order was for a customized heat transfer oil valve for a palm oil processing plant in Southeast Asia, which needed to withstand 280°C high temperatures and the erosion of viscous palm oil. The team completed the entire design of valve body flow channel optimization and seal structure upgrade in just 15 days, and the final product's operating life was twice that of the standard valve.

This customization capability stems from Huierli's "hard power": Among the 30-person customized R&D team, 8 have over 10 years of experience in designing special valves; the workshop is equipped with five-axis machining centers and laser cladding equipment, which can achieve integrated processing of complex valve body structures, with a customization accuracy of 0.005mm; it has also established a "working condition simulation laboratory" that can replicate extreme environments such as high and low temperatures, high pressure, and strong corrosion, ensuring that each customized valve undergoes real working condition tests before leaving the factory - this is also the core confidence for it to undertake high-difficulty customized orders at home and abroad.

Cases at Home and Abroad: The "Global Adaptation Story" of Customized Valves

In China, Huierli's custom valves have long been deeply integrated into various specialized fields: for a photovoltaic hydrogen production project in Inner Mongolia, custom-made hydrogen embrittlement-resistant stop valves were provided, featuring self-developed TC4 titanium alloy valve stems, which solved the problem of material embrittlement caused by hydrogen molecule penetration, enabling the project to achieve "zero leakage" operation; for a semiconductor factory in Shanghai, custom-made ultra-high purity valves were supplied, meeting the cleanliness requirements for the transmission of electronic-grade chemicals, and Huierli has become a long-term supplier for this factory.

In overseas markets, Huierli's customized solutions have also gained recognition: In 2023, the typhoon-resistant gate valve customized for a Norwegian offshore wind power project, featuring a special impact-resistant valve body structure and 316L super stainless steel material, can withstand 17-level strong winds and seawater corrosion. Verified by a local third-party testing institution, its performance far exceeds the European EN standards. For a South African gold mine, the customized wear-resistant slurry valve, by adding a tungsten carbide coating to the valve seat, extended the wear life from 3 months to 18 months, and the customer subsequently placed an additional order for 50 customized units. Currently, Huierli's customized valves have been exported to over 30 countries, covering 8 major industries including chemicals, energy, mining, and municipal services. The repeat purchase rate of overseas customers has reached 65%.

Customized services: Full-chain accompaniment from "demand" to "implementation"

"Customization is not merely 'drawing and production', but a full-process service from demand communication to after-sales operation and maintenance." This is the consensus of Huierli's customization service team. For both domestic and overseas customers, it offers a "three-step customization service": First, engineers are dispatched to conduct on-site or remote condition surveys, clarifying core requirements such as medium, temperature, pressure, and installation space, and providing detailed customization plans and technical parameters; second, during the production process, progress is regularly updated to customers, and key procedures invite customers to supervise online or on-site; third, after product delivery, installation guidance and commissioning training are provided, and overseas customers can also enjoy 24-hour remote technical support to ensure that the customized valves are quickly adapted to the site.

The purchasing manager of a chemical enterprise in Malaysia once commented: "We previously approached two manufacturers to custom-make valves, but either they failed to meet the working conditions or the delivery period was too long. Huierli not only delivered the valves that met our high-temperature working conditions within 30 days, but also sent engineers to fly to the site for on-site debugging. Such service makes us feel very reassured."

Professional Customization: The Trust Code of Huierli's Global Customers

From being a "niche demand" in domestic new energy projects to facing "special challenges" in extreme overseas environments, Huierli has always centered on "professional customization", using technological breakthroughs to address customers' "urgent needs". Over the past seventeen years, it has provided customized valve solutions for more than 200 domestic and overseas customers, including many Fortune 500 companies and national key projects.

In the current era of intensified homogenization competition in the valve industry, Huierli's "customization path" has proven that the true core competitiveness lies in understanding the differentiated demands of customers and converting these demands into reliable products through professional technology. This ability to "customize according to needs and adapt globally" is precisely the fundamental reason for its long-term trust from customers both at home and abroad. In the future, Huierli will continue to use customization as its pen to write more stories of "precise adaptation" in the global valve market.
